The Last Lion funziona per €7,500 al Kildangan Stud del Darley.

Quest'oggi presentiamo uno stallone da cui ci si aspetta molto soprattutto dai suoi 2 anni che correranno, presumibilmente presto. Anche se risultano "solo" 45 cavalli giovani da cui si aspetta il debutto questa stagione, con un tasso di monta che nel 2017 era di €12,000.
Evidentemente c'è il rischio che non sia completamente fertile, ma è una indicazione che andrebbe verificata.
The Last Lion (Choisir) è stato fortissimo nell'unica stagione di corse in cui ha fatto vedere le sue doti, a 2 anni nel 2016. In 10 corse disputate ha vinto in 4 occasioni e si è piazzato nelle restanti 6. Nel suo palmares le Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes G1 a Newmarket, come ultima corsa della carriera, battendo uno come Blue Point e uno come Mehmas. Ha vinto anche le Totequadpot Sirenia Stakes G3 battendo Koropick, poi ancora si è piazzato al Royal Ascot nelle Norfolk Stakes G2 dietro a Prince Of Lir. Allevato dal Barronstown Stud and Mrs T Stack, fu acquistato da Mark Johnston per €82,000 alle Goffs Orby Sale. Si tratta di uno degli 11 vincitori di G1 per Choisir (Danehill Dancer) mentre la mamma è la piazzata di G1 a 2 anni Mala Mala (Brief Truce).
Anche alle aste, ovviamente, c'è stato molto seguito per lui: Il suo rappresentante più costoso è stato King Leo, fratellastro del precoce e buonissimo Soldier’s Call (Showcasing), acquistato da Stroud Coleman Bloodstock per 170,000gns a Tattersalls.
